The Original Wedding Soiree 2013 – Intercontinental Yorkville Toronto

This year’s The Original Wedding Soiree was hosted at Yorkville’s Intercontinental Hotel today.

And what a day it was! It coincided with the St. Patrick’s Day parade, so there were hordes of people everywhere along Bloor St. We arrived at 11 am and the show was already jam packed. We were fortunate enough to bump into one of our friends who happened to model for the show’s bridal fashion show. She advised us to get seats right away at the High Tea room for the fashion show to avoid standing. We also had some finger food while we enjoyed the show.

After the show we went out to visit many of the booths. Personally I think the Original Wedding Soiree has grown very nicely, and likely next year they’ll have to host it somewhere even bigger to accommodate all the amazing vendors and bigger crowds. Here are some more photos of the show for you to enjoy!

As an Easter egg, here’s a pic we shot of the St. Paddy’s Day parade at street level. It’s Back to the Future! Kind of like how we all feel when we are planning our wedding….let’s just travel to the future so it can be done! XD

⚠️ If you’re planning a Lake Como wedding… read this before you book anything.

Not every villa is right.
Not every view translates into a flawless wedding.

In this 2.5-min tour, I’m breaking down the venues everyone talks about.

Because in Lake Como, the difference isn’t the location. It’s the strategy.

Winning WPIC Destination Wedding Planner of the Year feels especially meaningful this year. This journey started with my own wedding in Italy 16 years ago. With such a distinguished panel of judges, this recognition carries a quiet weight — one that I hold with deep gratitude.

Behind every destination wedding week abroad is not just design and logistics, but a family making it possible.

To my husband — who holds everything together at home while I travel — and to the grandmas who step in with endless love… this honour belongs to you too.

To my clients: thank you for trusting me with your most intimate celebrations, far from home. To be welcomed into your wedding world abroad is the greatest privilege of my work.

And to my fellow planners and creative partners around the world — your generosity, collaboration, and kindness are what elevate this industry we love.

This award is shared. 🤍

Trruly honoured to be nominated for the WEMA Circle Awards 🤍
This one feels different.

After years of building celebrations across cultures, borders, and generations, being recognised on a global stage that values integrity, craftsmanship, and intention means more than I can say. No politics. No pay-to-play. Just real work, seen and acknowledged by peers who understand what goes into every detail behind the scenes.

WEMA represents the kind of industry I believe in — inclusive, global, and rooted in respect for both the craft and the people who pour their hearts into it.

Grateful to stand alongside wedding professionals around the world who continue to raise the bar with purpose, care, and authenticity.
