Featured Wedding: Modern Toronto Wedding Inspired by Architecture

Happy Valentine’s Day! Today we wanted to share Anna and Richard’s wedding with you, one of the weddings that is near and dear in our hearts.  We love incorporating personalized details in our couples’ weddings and this is what makes our clients’ wedding unique. Richard is a super sports fan and love watching all kinds of sports games. During our planning process, we had to schedule our meetings around game nights. On Anna and Richard’s wedding day, the bridal party had their photos done at a baseball field. Instead of a traditional guest book, Richard had purchased a pink baseball bat for Anna and a special one for himself for their guests to sign and write their wishes.  The baseball bats are now displayed on their living room wall as a keepsake and a reminder of their wedding day.

The bridal party started the day getting ready at Sheraton Parkway North Toronto’s presidential suite.

We love these personalized details.  The baseball caps and the custom double sided bowtie and pocket square for Richard.

The wedding ceremony took place at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church.  After the ceremony, the wedding party headed to a baseball diamond for some fun photo sessions
The original walls at the ballroom were very dark and we transformed the room by using a lot of white flowers and candles to lighten up the room.  Architectural elements carried throughout the design of the wedding.  From the structural hanging arrangements at the head table, to the marbled texture wedding cake.

POV: You plan your own destination wedding in Florence… and accidentally build a career from it. 🇮🇹✨

16 years ago, I got married in Florence with no idea that one day I’d be planning weddings across Italy, France, Portugal, and beyond.

Florence will always be the place where the dream started. ❤️

Winning WPIC Destination Wedding Planner of the Year feels especially meaningful this year. This journey started with my own wedding in Italy 16 years ago. With such a distinguished panel of judges, this recognition carries a quiet weight — one that I hold with deep gratitude.

Behind every destination wedding week abroad is not just design and logistics, but a family making it possible.

To my husband — who holds everything together at home while I travel — and to the grandmas who step in with endless love… this honour belongs to you too.

To my clients: thank you for trusting me with your most intimate celebrations, far from home. To be welcomed into your wedding world abroad is the greatest privilege of my work.

And to my fellow planners and creative partners around the world — your generosity, collaboration, and kindness are what elevate this industry we love.

This award is shared. 🤍

Trruly honoured to be nominated for the WEMA Circle Awards 🤍
This one feels different.

After years of building celebrations across cultures, borders, and generations, being recognised on a global stage that values integrity, craftsmanship, and intention means more than I can say. No politics. No pay-to-play. Just real work, seen and acknowledged by peers who understand what goes into every detail behind the scenes.

WEMA represents the kind of industry I believe in — inclusive, global, and rooted in respect for both the craft and the people who pour their hearts into it.

Grateful to stand alongside wedding professionals around the world who continue to raise the bar with purpose, care, and authenticity.
