Join me at Wedding Academy on Feb 18 2018 at The Shangri-La Hotel Toronto!  Wedding Academy is a curated event series with Toronto’s top wedding professionals, aimed to educate and inspire the modern couple.
We will be a guest speaker at a panel led by Rebecca Chan from Rebecca Chan Weddings to chat about mistakes to avoid for a seamless celebration, along side with Bliss Events and Truly Yours Planning, who are also top wedding planners in Toronto.
Come to experience a beautifully appointed decor from The Social Rose, enjoy tunes from Lady Be Good and sample decadent desserts from Fine Cakes by Zehra. The day will be captured by L’atelier lumiere, with furniture from Detailz Chair Couture, photobooth experience from Event Circle, and stationary from So Pretty In Print. The series of events is planned by Rebecca Chan Weddings, and hosted by Garrison Bespoke, Canada’s leading menswear tailor.

Some wedding moments deserve a standing ovation… and Vanessa & Mike’s was definitely one of them! 🎭✨ From their theatrical grand entrance to Mike’s EPIC processional surrounded by 18 cold sparklers 🔥 — these two really knew how to make an entrance! But what makes this wedding even more special is the friendship that came after. From planning their big day to now hanging out over board games… who would’ve thought? 😂🎲❤️ Happy Anniversary, V&M! 🥂 So grateful we got to be part of your celebration and even happier that our paths crossed beyond the wedding day. Wedding planner content: lighting candles, fixing menus and casually walking around looking put together. ✨ The reality? That’s probably 10% of the job. 😂 The other 90% is happening behind the scenes — nonstop texts and phone calls, weather decisions, last-minute changes, communicating with vendors before they arrive, adjusting timelines and solving things before our couples ever know there was a problem. Those moments are rarely captured because… well, we’re usually too busy doing them. A day in the life of a wedding planner ✨ Amy & Brian’s wedding day edition. We went back and forth on the rain plan more times than I’d like to admit 🌧️☀️ — but in the end, the weather gave us the most beautiful golden hour, followed by fireworks to close out the night. 🎆 One of my favourite parts of this wedding was bringing a full Chinese catering experience into a venue that doesn’t host this style of service often. It takes a lot of coordination behind the scenes — between the venue, caterer, kitchen, rentals and our planning team — to make everything flow seamlessly. And this is exactly the kind of challenge I love. When everyone comes together with professionalism, flexibility and a shared goal of creating the best experience for the couple and their guests, magic happens.
