So what will make your wedding different than the next person’s?
A crucial deciding factor is the theme for your wedding. Contrary to what you might believe, it’s quite difficult to develop a theme. For most people, it’s one of those elusive preferences that you kind of know what you want, but can’t necessarily explain it.
Chances are, you’ll join thousands of other couples who eventually interview dozens of decorators/florists and end up still unable to substantiate their thoughts into something actionable.
The solution: Inspiration Boards
Inspiration boards are typically used by designers to kick-start their imagination and develop a direction for their next project. It’s a collage of images that becomes the foundation of your ideas. Typically, these images have things in common, such as contours or colours. It’s best to explain via an example:
Here, we’ve got a bride who wanted an enchanted forest theme. She was extremely interested in fairies, forestry, and a greenish mood for her wedding. An inspiration board was drafted using various images online and pictured on the left. In the end, these items allowed us to get inside her head and understand all the things she would require to make the idea come to life, as pictured on the right.
