Michelle & Eric’s Timeless Chinese Wedding at Casa Loma: A Celebration of Love and Tradition

A Journey to the Perfect Venue

When I first met Michelle and Eric, they shared their dream of saying “I do” on the Amalfi Coast—a vision of intimate romance by the sparkling Mediterranean. We began planning for a destination wedding, but as their guest list grew, it became clear that their loved ones’ desire to celebrate with them couldn’t be contained by the limits of a faraway venue.

While the Amalfi Coast was no longer feasible, the couple wanted to find a location that was equally stunning and meaningful. After exploring various options, they fell in love with the timeless charm of Casa Loma, a Toronto landmark that provided the perfect backdrop for their big day. It was the ideal choice to bring their dreams to life while keeping their loved ones close.

A Dreamy Day at Toronto’s Iconic Landmark

Michelle and Eric’s wedding day unfolded like a fairy tale on a warm July afternoon. The morning began at the luxurious Shangri-La Hotel, where Michelle prepared with her bridal party amidst serene and elegant surroundings. She looked radiant as she stepped into her gown, ready to meet Eric for their first look at Casa Loma.

The couple’s first look was an emotional and heartfelt moment set against the grandeur of Casa Loma. This private exchange of love and anticipation set the tone for a day that would seamlessly blend romance, tradition, and celebration.

Tradition Meets Elegance: The Tea Ceremony

In honor of their Chinese heritage, Michelle and Eric hosted a beautiful tea ceremony in Casa Loma’s intimate bridal suite. This time-honored tradition allowed them to show respect and gratitude to their families, creating a moment of heartfelt connection amidst the day’s celebrations.

The couple exchanged vows in the breathtaking Conservatory, a space flooded with natural light and adorned with stunning stained glass and greenery. Brent Miller LIVE provided the perfect musical backdrop for the ceremony, filling the air with melodies that added a touch of magic to every moment.

Guests were welcomed into Casa Loma’s Library for an elegant dinner reception. The room’s grandeur, from its vaulted ceilings to intricate woodwork, provided a sophisticated setting for the evening. Live music from Brent Miller LIVE transitioned effortlessly from ceremony to cocktails and dinner, creating a seamless and lively ambiance.

A Sparkling Finale

To cap off the night, Michelle and Eric shared a magical moment with their wedding party and friends. Surrounded by sparklers glowing against the night sky, they shared a romantic kiss that perfectly encapsulated the joy and beauty of the day. It was a picture-perfect ending to a wedding filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Trruly honoured to be nominated for the WEMA Circle Awards 🤍
This one feels different.

After years of building celebrations across cultures, borders, and generations, being recognised on a global stage that values integrity, craftsmanship, and intention means more than I can say. No politics. No pay-to-play. Just real work, seen and acknowledged by peers who understand what goes into every detail behind the scenes.

WEMA represents the kind of industry I believe in — inclusive, global, and rooted in respect for both the craft and the people who pour their hearts into it.

Grateful to stand alongside wedding professionals around the world who continue to raise the bar with purpose, care, and authenticity.

Closing out 2025 with a full heart ❤️

A year of adventures ✈️, travel 🌍, timelines 📋, and weddings 💍 across cities and borders.

Grateful beyond words 🙏 for the trust of our clients, the support of incredible vendors 🤝, and the friendships 💫 that carried me through every challenge.

Being entrusted with my couples’ most meaningful life moments is something I never take it for granted 🤍

This year stretched my creativity, tested my logistics skills, and pushed me past what I thought was possible — and somehow, I always made it to the other side 💪✨

None of this would be possible without the unwavering love and support of my family 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

Wishing everyone a joyful holiday season 🎄✨ and a beautiful start to 2026 🥂

Sleepless nights. Heavy emotions. A heart full of purpose. ❤️‍🔥
Healing through music and raising funds for the Tai Po fire — all made possible in just 9 days.

From shaping the vision, to ticket sales, to organizing volunteers… everything moved so fast that I forgot to take a single selfie 🤳 — not even one with my own daughter 🥺
But my heart is so full watching @jillianlau_official stand on that stage, supporting my mission and being part of this meaningful night. My future work BFF in the making 🫶

So grateful for this incredible community — the love, the collaboration, the trust. Thank you for showing up and the donations!!
Music heals. We are stronger together 🎶✨
