As we kick off our extremely AMAZING Italy trip giveaway, we would like to take this opportunity to put an idea in your head – Why not get married in Italy? Now, before you dismiss the thought that it will be extremely expensive, consider the following:
1) It may not be as expensive as you might think – If you’re planning on heading over to Europe for your honeymoon anyway, rolling your wedding with your honeymoon provides cost synergies. This includes flights and cheaper longer term accommodations. For those of you who have guests you rather not invite, but kind of have to due to parents, co-workers, etc. getting married elsewhere also filters out all but your closest friends. Less heads at the reception table = lower costs.
2) Culinary delights – Italy is all about food. From the simple dishes like Bruschetta to top quality Parmesan it’s just extremely difficult to find bad food there. Did we mention the wine costs less than water? And what’s a wedding without fine wine?
3) Endless choice of venues – If you get married in Toronto, chances are the wedding venue choices are quite limited, not to mention your guests have probably attended another wedding there before. In Italy, the sky’s the limit. Many venues have historical significance and many have extremely breathtaking backdrops. If you’re getting married in Toronto, you’re going to have to pay extra for a backdrop. In Italy, here’s your backdrop:
