Carmen’s philosophy has always been, “What’s a little sacrifice, if you can exchange it for the guilty little pleasures in life?” She starts off every morning checking her emails even before getting out of bed. In the mid-afternoon, it is likely you will find her enjoying a grande Caramel Macchiato at Starbucks while working away on her computer, or reading up on recent wedding fashion trends. In the evenings you may see her trying out various culinary delights before meeting clients and vendors. She works hard, so that she can enjoy what she really likes: fancy attire, classy restaurants, and anything that’s exquisitely European. In fact, her artistic nature brought her to the Michaelangelo-designed Villa San Michele for her own wedding in Florence, Italy on May 5th, 2010. Carmen is the lead creative director and planner for Devoted to You Inc. She’s planned weddings, events, and managed multi-million dollar projects for major corporations.

Carmen holds the W.P.I.C.C. certification from the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada, the only professional association in Canada whose accreditations are recognized nationwide as a dependable source for providing wedding planning excellence. She also holds a Project Management Professional (P.M.P.) certification from the Project Management Institute; the world’s leading not-for-profit membership association for project management.

Jennifer is often described as Ann Hathaway’s character in her favourite movie The Devil Wears Prada. Prided for her wealth of experience in event and wedding planning, a keen eye for perfection and ability to remain poise in any situation, working with Jennifer will amaze you.

Not only is Jennifer born to be in the wedding industry, she also has more than five years of experience as a Corporate Events manager at one of the largest banks in Canada. In this role, she was responsible from initial development to final execution of high profile conferences and event programs involving clients, large stakeholders, senior bank executives, and board members. The scope of these events allowed her gain valuable experience in working with extremely large budgets and influential people. It also gave her the opportunity to travel extensively across North America and the Far East with the bank’s CEO and the core management team.

Jennifer’s favourite part of a wedding: The magical moment when the groom sees his bride for the very first time on their wedding day.

If you ask Stella, she can show you enough of her own bridesmaid dresses to make her own version of the movie. This speaks volumes to how much she knows about weddings, how dependable she is in the eyes of her friends, and how well loved she is. She’s always willing to lend a helping hand whenever you need it, and we are extremely delighted to have her on our team.

Stella is the Associate Designer at Devoted to You. Her expertise includes creating inspiration boards and is our Do-It-Yourself expert. She loves making arts and crafts and her belief is that being lavish doesn’t need to be expensive. Customizing your wedding with things you make yourself always adds a personal touch.
